Frequently Asked Questions about Maximizing Your Talent

Q1. What were the results of the previous pilot projects?
See the section entitled "Executive Summary or White Paper"

Q2. How will this work be delivered?
All participants will receive a full day's workshop and then will receive numerous follow up sessions during the subsequent 6 months.

Q3. Who will lead/teach the workshop?
Art DeLorenzo will open the workshop and review the mechanics of implementing the program. He will also give a brief overview of his observation of the key elements to successful execution. Dr. Rick Aberman and Dr. Fred Luskin will do the majority of the teaching & instruction in emotional competence and forgiveness/stress management.

Q4. How will we measure the outcome of this program?
For a program to be considered effective, we must collect data to determine its impact. Therefore, we will collect this data at the onset and upon its conclusion. We will measure gains in productivity as well as measure quality of life. This dual measure will allow us to validate the effectiveness of the program.

Q5. Is there any preparatory work that needs to be done prior to the workshop?
Yes, we will do this immediately before the workshop (within 2 to 4 business days). The psychosocial assessments profiles include quality of life measures and the comprehensive Emotional Quotient Inventory. These assessments combined with consultation with the leadership at your firm will be the foundation for your Individual Development Plan.

Q6. When will I receive my own Individual Development Plan?
Within two weeks after the workshop concludes. A conference call will be scheduled whereby we will review your IDP which will be sent via email or regular mail as participants prefer.

Q7. Will I need anything else to make this program work for me?
It is important that all participants select two "observer's" who would be willing to provide them with regular feedback about their progress. A work colleague should be one choice, as they will have more ready access to you. They will be directed to keep a log of their observations and to give you feedback for 15 minutes every other week. A second choice should be someone at home. Both observers will join with the participant in the "observer training" conference call.

Q8. Who will train my "observer"?
This will be done by Art DeLorenzo via a conference call within a week after the workshop and prior to the IDP delivery. Our use of observers is centered on the premise that a large percentage of what we need to improve we already know how. Having a plan to close the gap makes the difference in our growth. And those close to us at work and at home can help us.

Q9. What is the value of the followÐup coaching sessions?
One of our guiding principles is to provide guided practice in emotional competence and then provide follow up coaching. Our extensive experience validates that a workshop plus follow up individualized coaching is a powerful combination. We will coordinate the telephone conference calls with your firm, and Dr. Rick Aberman, Dr. Fred Luskin, and possibly other experienced professionals will participate/contribute during the coaching calls. You may have anywhere from 2 to 4 items on your Individual Development Plan but we will only focus on 1 or 2 at a time. Once an item is accomplished, we will move onto the others. It is the participants responsibility to be prepared and on time for the conference calls. We will provide the dates and times at the workshop so there will be plenty of advanced notice. Being late to the call will shorten the session and lesson the time available for coaching. Missed calls will not be made up unless a family emergency occurs.

Q10. During MYT "Coaching" how many follow-up sessions will there be?
There will be a total of 6.

#1 is "observer" training Ðin week 1 after the workshop
#2 is IDP coaching (Individual Development Plan) delivery Ð week 2
#3 is the 2nd coaching conference call Ð week 8
#4 is the 3rd coaching conference call Ð week 14
#5 is the 4th coaching conference call Ð week 20
#6 is the "wrap up" conference call where we report results Ð week 27, approximately Ð based on the close of monthly business results.

Q11. What is cost for this pilot?
There is no cost to you as an employee of XYZ Co. The entire cost is being absorbed by your employer on your behalf. It is substantial and it behooves us to encourage you to honor that investment in you by being 100% engaged in the workshop and subsequent conference calls. This is a big deal and your firm is at the cutting edge in supporting its people with this type of a program.

Q12. What is an optimal size for a program?
We feel that a group of approximately 25 is optimal.

Q13. What if I have other questions?
Share your thoughts with your supervisor. He or she will forward your question to your firm's leadership team for a response

Q14. When and where will the workshop take place?
The workshop will be held from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM on ____________, 2007 at a site to be determined by your firm.
